ABOUT ME:
This is my first year as a media studies student. In the beginning this subject was very new to me, somethings were a little hard to understand. By the mid term i was trying to figure out what media studies is and what it has to offer to others. The first time when I took the camera and shot a small scene of the room i didnt realize what is going to change later on. Now when i hold the camera I will shoot with a professionals eye.
The reason why i took media studies was because I wanted to experiment with my self and I was in that phase where I wanted to discover what i really want to do. However this discussion has been made and i will remain a media student for life. The feeling you get when your film is ready and it comes out beautifully gives you courage and the strength to continue doing such a work that you love and is much appreciated by others.
Through media a lot of problems can be addressed to the masses and I personally believe media and art are the best canvas to display this emotion. This entire journey has not been of mine alone, i have two teachers and a talented partner to thank. Both my theory and practical teacher have helped me so much during this process that i never felt the weight and pressure of my work and instead have enjoyed every step of it.
I was always a lazy person who would want things to be done for her, than do it herself, this habit has changed and now I enjoy every work i do. I think I have started observing things more critically, films to be precise, when I see a film or tv show I see it through a media persons point of view keeping all codes and conventions in mind. I would love to continue this journey of mine and make my own self proud as well as my teachers from the work I do.
